Hello all,
I was dealing with some odd stalling and starting problems and finally got around to take the car apart.(02 Arc)
The culprit was a vacuum leak...the 2" hose connecting the PCV to the throttle body.
However, we discovered oil in the large diameter hose in front of the throttle body.
Now apparently, the failure of the little PCV to throttle body hose can cause oil to get up to the throttle body (and beyond?) but I don't really understand how that works.
In any event, we're hoping the wandering oil is caused only by the vacuum leak, and all the car needs now is a good throttle body cleaning.
Am I missing something?
