I did find a long thread on another Saab repair site. I am still not sure if I need the arm or the arm and the shaft.
Also I forgot to mention in the first post that when I took the dash kick panel off something fell out. I found one piece of white plastic on the carpet and fished out the other down below the carpet. It was the 2 pieces of the blend door arm. I was surprised to them loose. Maybe they were in the vent duct. I don't have any records of a previous repair, so this must be part of the problem at least. Now how do I know if I replace the arm or the arm and the shaft.
Would love some input from someone who has done it. Thanks
