I think there are some posts somewhere, but here goes.
Trying to fix an '01 headlight wiper where it parks wrong. Tore it apart and I *think(* the problem is a strange type of resistor in between contacts. This allows the motor to run for only so long, some sort of thermistor. I think the thermistor is bad and not allow the motor to run for long enough before shutting down. It runs for about 1 sec when cold. it is a small square piece about 1/4" square.
This is an amazing set of mechanical engineering in there. So much grease :-)
Anyway, anyone else found this problem and solved it?
