I had a tiny oil drip from a reused copper washer a number of years ago. I usually only reuse them once but I think that time I was short and reused one that had been used several times before... The correct dimension washers are not always readily available locally. I may have stopped the drip by just retorquing it...
Some people anneal old washers before reuse. There have been threads on this on the c900 bb. For the c900, I usually use the special washers with the rubber seal on steel.
