Re-machining can often take you below the safe wear limits. There will probably always be a lip on a mature rotor. It is something that you can eyeball and feel, better than nothing. I think that you can use rotors from a Saturn dealer. Might be some aftermarket rotors for $40 each if you look around.
Are you comfortable DIY replacing pads and rotors?
Sorry to hear about your cash flow worries.
Found this at eeuroparts.com
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ships in 24 hours. ***IMPORTANT NOTE!*** These brake rotors are packaged(therefore only sold) as pairs, so order accordingly, Thanks!
#4839320z FRONT BRAKE ROTOR (Must order 2) $42.90 Ships Within
Same day
So for 86 + shipping, its not so bad. Figger the cost and bother of machining the old rotors if you DIY'd.
All I need is to find someone who would want my used OEM pads! Anyone who knows will not want them!
