my point is not whether they should/should not have started the car. the issues is how many times they continuosly started the car before frying pump. Service advisor stated "pump burned out due to repeated starting of car.." If the part is that delicate, where 2-3 starts would screw up the pump then I wonder about the quality of the parts being used.
Also, with respect to diagnosing the car, what about the Tech II? With all of the processors and electronics you would think that an error code should have been sent when the check engine light went on. I don't know all the details of tech 2 error messages, but I would hope that "engine not getting fuel" would be one of them...if not, why pay for all of this great saab engineering...
Lastly, if it were warmer, the car would not have started. it didn't start in 45 degree weather 5 min after the fill up.
So from my POV, dealer is partially negligent, gas retailer negligent.
