Thanks for your input Dave. I bookmarked your page as well. It's cool. I don't know how long the NGK plugs were in my car as I am new to SAABs having just picked up an '85 900T for $400 needing front brakes and a muffler. I know the previous owner personally and I doubt he ever did anything to the car except add gas and hopefully oil. He had the car a year with no problems till the brakes gave out and the muffler fell off. I've been slowly fixing little things here and there and just got around to tuning up the car as it ran well and got good mileage. I just couldn't floor it without it bucking past 1/2-3/4 yellow on the boost gauge. Once I installed the plats I floored it in fourth and saw red on the other side of the needle for the first time. Then I guess the wastegate opened because it felt like I lifted off the gas a little and the boost dropped back to near the top of the yellow. No more bucking. I guess the boost was killing the weak spark from the worn plugs. I checked the gap on the new bosch plugs and they were .028 so I just installed them as is. What a difference.
