Ok, so the non-turbo cars run smaller injectors at higher pressure. That makes sense now. However, you would think that a turbo engine would need higher pressure because the fuel actually has to fight AGAINST manifold pressure. For example, with 10psi manifold pressure and 9psi fuel pressure when the injector opened air would blow into the injector and no fuel would come out. This would never happen of course since the car wouldn't run and therefor wouldn't be making 10psi of boost. I know from experience with turbo buicks that as you up the boost you need to up the fuel pressure as well. Were talking like 60+ psi in those cars.
