Coolant Temp. (NYC)

Had my '92 900 (let's call her "Inga") for almost a month. Everything's been great, but I've noticed that during city driving the coolant temp. gets up into the upper third of the acceptable range. (During highway driving, the guage is dead-center.) I'm pretty sure that someone ran some Bar-Leak through it, and even after the dealer flushed the coolant, I've still got some residue in the resevoir. SO ... is the Bar-Leak crudding up the radiator and preventing effective cooling at lower RPM's? AND, if so, is the solution to again flush the coolant, or just "open her up" (you know, drive really fast)? OR, is it perfectly reasonable for the temp to go into the upper third, even in 30F degree weather? Thanks.
