C900 Sachs/Boge Shock Listing Posted by Kevin K [Email] (#374) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Kevin K) on Sun, 7 Jan 2001 23:33:27 In Reply to: Thumbs Up on Sachs Supers (shocks) 112102, Dan W, Sun, 7 Jan 2001 20:16:41 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Glad they worked out. Not sure if your fronts are spg spec. Note the low, spg front springs, as listed in the manual, are 80% stiffer than stock, and likely came with quite a stiff shock. I posted this a while back:
----------------
I got this info from Boge/Sachs USA technical, for C900 saabs:
** 900 no s-bars, F/R, 36-081-1 / 36-082-1
These are usual ones stocked by vendors for all models, although they
are officially listed as for all 900 models without sway bars. These
part numbers used to come in white/blue 'automatic' boxes, but now are
sold as 'turbos', in turbo box, with a red label on shock. (I put the
'automatics' on front, and recently 'turbos' on rear of a turbo with
bars, and they work well for firm, sporty ride without excessive
harshness.)
** turbo + sway bar, F, 112-102
This is a Sachs number, and may be similar to a slightly stiffer oem
shock. Still stocked for US, but likely special order from vendor.
** turbo-sport + sway bar, F, 112-103
Similar story to the -102, but mabe for the stiffer SPG? Rep was not
sure, since the SPG (and Aero) were noted as requiring Saab dealer part
numbers.
** base thru M83/84, F/R, 27-911-0 / 27-912-0
All the previous ones are gas pressured, allegedly mono-tube shocks.
The OEM spec for these early base 900 models was softer, plain hydraulic
shocks, no gas. These are still available, I think they are Boge models
(vs Sachs).
