I wish it could all work out this EASY!
I removed the screw holding the heater duct on the right side, just below the knee bolster. I was hoping I could access the pressure switch wiring from there....YES, I didn't have to remove the knee bolster :-)
I placed(bent) the heater duct to be held in place by the clutch pedal and moved the foaming out of the way. A small mirror & flashlight let you observe under there more comfortably.
I had a switch and wiring left over from a fog light kit i had bought a couple of years ago(I knew it would come handy some day!). The wiring was all set with the proper male/female connectors to match the overpressure switch. Disconnected on of the brown/white wires. One line from the switch to the overpressure switch, the other line, connected to the disconnected brwn/wh lead.
Biggest deal...figuring out where to put the switch. I found a suitable location, accessible to the driver, under the knee bolster
Took about 40minutes, 35 of it consisted of figuring where to place the switch& bracket(which was made from using the back bracketing that comes with stereos).
Works perfect. Great and EASY idea for the extra peace of mind.
Boris
