Non-turbo, right? I used to have a car just like that. Mine didn't have an alarm, so I don't know how that would affect this.
After it's shut down & can't start - does the tachometer jump while you're cranking? The ECU won't fire the injectors or run the fuel pump if it doesn't see a tach signal. You might need to check wiring at your EZK module in the left fender & the connections at the coil amplifier on your right fender.
Know how to pull ECU fault codes? Check them immediately after you've cranked. Let the ignition switch back to 'on', don't turn it all the way off before you check. Normally when you check the first code you get is 12231 (no ignition signal) if the engine's not running. After cranking you shouldn't get this code, if the ignition's OK.
Finally, just to make your day...
I kinda remember the popular way for these to fail is for the ECU to become unable to supply ground to the fuel pump relay.
