The wires referenced are bare all the way to the door & likely beyond (ie. INTO the door). Problem is, you can't see or get to the section of the wires inside the door! Now bear in mind that I've not really delved into this on the car in question yet - the preceeding statement(s) followed a quick observation made in the bone yard. From what I saw on the already well stripped junker I was pillaging, I'd have a real devil of a time getting at the wires within the doors, so cutting an access hole seems like a good solution (vs removing the window mechanism!!!)......could be wrong though.
