Clutch Master Cyl. and Brake booster advice Posted by Adam [Email] (#344) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Adam) on Fri, 18 Jan 2013 14:05:26 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a couple questions that I hoping someone could help me with.
I'm restoring an '86 900 base and I finally got it running again. I've noticed that the clutch seems to loose pressure when it's pushed about halfway down. So basically, if I push the clutch to the floor, it activates the slave cylinder as it should, but if I start to let the clutch out, it seems to loose pressure in the line. Do you all think this would be a failed master cylinder or could it be a bad job bleeding the lines, or maybe the slave?
Also, on the brake side of things, it seems like the brake booster is not holding a vacuum. COuld anyone recommend a good testing procedure?
This car has pretty much been sitting for 5 years, fwiw.
Thanks,
Adam
