question 1 of 2 re E-Code lights.... Posted by Baggsly [Email] (#2350) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Baggsly) on Sun, 20 Jan 2013 22:31:22 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
So, I haven't been able to find a reasonably priced R/H headlight frame for a 1990T. So, I do have E-Codes, and I installed the one for the passenger side.
No problem with the actual bolting in of the new headlamp assembly. But, it doesn't sit out as far as the DOT lamp did. It sits back about 1/4" from the grilled and the side marker/turn signal lamp.
The question is why? The turn signal lamp is as far back as it will go in it's mount, right up against the back edge of the indent for the side marker.
Everything is up against the radiator support as it should be (grille & headlamp). I cannot see why it is not lining up with the other items unless it's either the wrong lamp or I'm missing spacers? Or i suppose my car has been whacked viciously. However, both DOT lamps did line up as they should, and the L/H one still does.
No, the lamp is not working yet, I haven't created the plug adapter yet, so I cannot answer any questions about the difference side to side with the two different lamps!
Anyone have any brilliant ideas?
Mark :-)
