So yes, it was a bad CPS and thanks for the guidance. Swapped out my '91 n/a distributor with an earlier turbo distributor with the Hall sensor. Car now runs but sounds like a diesel. I suspect the timing is the issue. I tried flipping the distributor 180 degrees with the vacuum advance on the bottom but that made it worse. Twisting it slightly seems to improve the performance but the knocking is still there. Any tips for to get the car running like normal again?
