Help!! Just finished 5-sped conversion - Engine locked Posted by Notnoel [Email] (#23) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Notnoel) on Sun, 15 Dec 2013 22:26:36 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I finished what I thought was my second successful 5 speed conversion - wrong. When I went to start it, the starter just went sort of chunk chunk, No movement of the crank at all.
Before I started, I of course drove the thing into the garage and I'd previously rotated the flexplate around to position the dowel pin so I could drop the autobox with no issues.
But now even with the plugs out and clutch entirely removed it won't budge. I took off the head cover and I don't see any slack in the chain - looks entirely normal. I am guessing I turned the engine in the wrong direction and the chain has bunched up keeping it from moving.
What are my options folks?? PS, my wife is about to kill me over doing this project in the first place and in two days I am going to bring my kid home from college and my extra car become a big problem over the next month.
HELP!!!!!!
