Anything to do with pumping a pedal and getting any kind of satisfaction from doing it points to the master cylinder. The slave sits right in front of the flywheel and right under the flywheel theres a drain hole for any fluid that may get sprayed in the clutch area, like water when the hood is off the car cruising around town and it starts to rain. Wouldn't want that half cut out bowel filling up with water it would ruin the clutch. Removing the skid plate under the car will reveal the hole in the transmission casting.
