Adding Hella 500FF Driving lights to a '92 Turbo..... Posted by vsfoxe [Email] (#1025) [Profile/Gallery] (more from vsfoxe) on Fri, 6 Jan 2017 10:59:41 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Well, I bought some lights, I own the car, and the light mounts are in place. Next is wiring - I'm lost. I originally planned to use the OEM Fog Light switch to switch the Driving Lights ON/OFF. I planned to add a ground for the lights. Then I would cut the Fog Light 12V wire and splice that wire to the Headlamp Hi-Beam 12V wire. But now after reading what I could find, including the packaged directions, I don't think that will work. I know driving lights should operate with High Beams (Fog Lights operate with Low Beams), but now I'm reading things like "two relay configuration" and so on. So - Is there a decent wiring diagram for adding Driving Lights to a Saab 900? I'm an idiot in this area. I miss ARI! Any decent links? Any help? I know what the trigger for my rifle is, but what is the "trigger for the relay"? Or should I just put the lights on a shelf in the basement? TIA! Vern
