Better than KYBs, better than Boges, less expensive than Bilstein/Koni. KYBs have a lot of compression damping, but the rebound damping went away in 20K on my 87 900T. I now have Tokicos, less compression damping than KYB (read less harsh ride) and adequate rebound damping.
Bilsteins harsh...whatever you do keep the stock Saab OEM upper shock mounts for front...the Bilstein bits wear out quickly.
If I still have the car in 30K miles (and probably will since it's in the body shop for new front fenders...rusted wheel arches) I'll put Konis on it. Be a nice car for daughter in 10 years....
