A couple of years ago I took my '86 900 T to get the front end suspension evaluated for a complete overhaul. My indie wound up pulling both Tokico's that I bought for the front end. I saw why he had pulled them. One had seized and the other had blown!! I couldn't believe it. I had just bought them, I'd say less than a year, from Frank at Group Six for about $65.00 a piece. I had the option of going with Bilsteins (which I really wanted)but I decided instead to go for oem so I went with Boge. I chickened out and played it safe. I tried the sport option once without going all out. I was hoping my indie would say the bushings were bad but I would go on to live with the rattle in my driver side a-arm for a few more years. That will change this year as well. I'm going to renew more than just the suspension.
I really hate to see this kind of back and forth deal but it's my experience that Tokico's are "Jap crap". My indie told me to stick with European parts for a european car. The Tokico's I bought weren't the fancy adjustable kind they were the straight replacements marketed as the sport installment. I wouldn't put Tokico's on if you gave them to me.
That's just my two cents worth but hey, that's what we're here for.
I wish you the best.
