If you own a turbo you are supposed to wait till the temp guage goes into the green before getting the car underway. This may take up to 5 minutes in very cold climes. Will you do the turbo damage if you get under way before the temp goes to green and IF you DON'T go into turbo mode until the engine warms a bit more?.
Is the warm up period preferred at the beginning (warm-up) or end (cool down)of the turbo engagement/drive?.
PS, I have an '86 900T w/154K and use Mobil 1 in the crankcase and USUALLY wait for the green, but sometimes it's a pain to wait.
