FWUW, the turbo at idle is only spinning about as fast as a household fan, no 10K. If you've got a water cooled turbo, there's no need to wait to turn it off at all unless you've really run it hard and pull it off the road immediately. That's from Corky Bell himself, he cites the reason being the vast improvements in oils, and if you're using synthetic, no worries.
I let my only oil cooled turbo sit a few seconds when I stop to cool it off.
