Thanks for your response SWEDECAR i've been reading your postings for some time now & they are most helpful , will the power to the 2 valves still be there if TCS CNTRL light is on & thus system disabled ? does this light being on mean that system is getting correct power from relay(s) ?
Townsend site is back up today so I'm gonna print off the testing procedure this time rather than piecing it together from other posts & memory, I have no breakout box , so can I just "probe" back of ECU connector for described voltage & rsistance tests ?

Also dead right about dodgy mechanic by the way unfortunately its me !!

My car budget is to say the least stretched to max with the 120+ miles comute to work each day ( around (£12 per day) ( scottish petrol real expensive ! )+ Insurance (£650/year) but mostly repairs have been scary.
( APC solenoid, dump valve, windscreen & A-pillars, both CV's, turbo shaft ended up with around 1/4" radial travel , yes 1/4" !!!!

I've done a fair bit of spanner wielding in the past, mostly m.bikes but this electrical stuff is right at the limits of my knowledge( possibly past it!)

What can I say if I didnt love the 9000 performance soo much I'd have shot it long ago & bought a little FIAT or something.

Ill try the resistance test on the valves after a run tonight & let you know how I got on.

Thanks again,

Stephen
