Stephen,
I do not see any relation between the Turbo replacement and the TCS system
problem.
Every time the key is turned to run position the TCS ECU runs key on self test (takes about 1 second when you see the light on)
If the self test passed, it will turn the light off and will wait for you to start the car.
If your red TCS CTRL light comes on and will not reset when key is being cycled, it is because your TCS ECU detected a problem during key on self test. most faults it will be possible to cycle the key and if self test passes, system will work (until it will detect a problem and will go into limp home mode again), others, you must clear the codes to get the system working again (only way to clear is by ISAT or Tech 2 or, replacing eeprom inside the TCS ECU) the latest is not realistic option.
Calibration is always good to do but, it will not fix the problem, so there is no point.
Do this, turn key to run and look at TCS CTRL red light to see if it passes the self test (if light is not on after 1-2 seconds)if it stays on
you are out of luck and will need an ISAT or tech 2. if it turn the light off and only goes into LHM after you start the car go over the vacuum hoses/diaphragm/check valve/mechanical cable lever for sticking etc.
let me know if you need help
Yuval
