I've got a 94 9kcse w/the 2 speed fan. I've replaced the OEM radiator switch w/the Townsend switch a year or so ago. Recently, I noticed that the low speed will not always kick in first before the high speed, but rather the fan will kick on high speed first. I've jumped the leads and tested the relays and they are fine. Is the switch bad? What else might cause this erratic function? I've also noticed that, when the A/C is engaged, the radiator fan does not automatically come on - regardless of the coolant temp - like I thought it was supposed to. Rather, it only comes on when the coolant heats up. Is this SOP, or am I right that it should come on when the compressor kicks on?
