I think it may be an engine number thing - apparently they changed with J082585. But I have no idea what the change was or whether it's important!

The 91 07 376 seems to be listed as an alternative for the later head so it looks as though you're all right, but there are lots of part numbers in 88, some with valves, some without and I'm getting cross-eyed looking at them. There seems to be a reference to a change to Stellite coated intake valves in 88.

Anyway, I can email you a PDF of the complete parts list if you send me an address (Saabnet email doesn't allow attachments).

Don't know where the part number is but would expect it to be visible with the valve cover off. Maybe time for an email to Swedecar?
