Shift adjustment problems on 1990 9Ks Posted by Ryan [Email] (#2222) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Ryan) on Wed, 19 Aug 2009 15:03:51 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I've read all the archived posts for adjusting the shift linkage. I have a pretty good handle on how things are *supposed* to go, but am running into different obstacles.
There is no rubber plug on top of the gear box, nor did I expect to see one since it's a pre-94. There is supposed to be a hole at the base of the shifter to lock the selector rod in reverse (again, pre-94). There is no hole, anywhere.
How is the adjustment done if there is no way to lock anything into a reference gear?
