I have a pristine 1990 9k that has been the best car I haver ever owned but my tranny has started to whine really bad. Its a tough option and has me thinking about moving on to a 9-5. Why couldnt Saab put a good 5 speed tranny in the car? As a comparision my winter beater is a 90 Toyota Corolla with I kid you not 245K and the 5 speed tranny still shifts like a dream. I see no reason why the body and engine wouldnt go another 100K.
