While servicing the brakes on my recently-acquired '97 CSE I was going to replace the hoses as a matter of course due to age - until I got a good look at the ends. Yikes! It was very obvious that replacing the hoses would destroy the ends of the brake lines, requiring flaring, unions, and replacement sections. Since the hoses look OK, the brakes are otherwise working well, and I was not prepared to do all that work on the steel lines, I'm leaving them be for now.
I'll probably replace the rubber hoses at some point but need to get all my ducks lined up in a row first for all the other work it will entail.
