Yep, that's the typical place the line fails at. That's where the clutch line in my 9000 failed....it couldn't have picked a better place to do it though - the pedal dropped to the floor right when I was pulling into the parking place coming home from work.
The rubber seal is a grommet that has a grooved lip that goes around the opening in the firewall. Use a pick or a small flat bladed screwdriver to get the lip off of the edge of the firewall opening and pull it into the car.
The hardest part of that damn job is getting the new line's metal portion routed correctly to meet up with the master cylinder without bending it up.
IIRC it is a 12mm flare nut on the end that goes into the master cylinder.
The easiest way to pull the old line is to undo the connection to the metal line to the slave cylinder then undo the flare nut on the master cylinder. Then pull the metal portion of the old line down until you can pull the rubber part through the firewall into the car.
It will help greatly to take the battery out and un-mount the battery tray from the engine compartment. The clutch line runs underneath it and you will have a hard time undoing the clip that holds the old line in place, or threading the new line into the engine compartment with the battery tray still in place.
To get better access as well, you will need to take the trim panel underneath the dashboard, above the pedal cluster, off as well (if it is still there).
