You are right. SPEC supplies a SACHS release/throw-out bearing with their clutch kits.
For the rebuilt transmission+engine overhaul I also bought a new genuine SAAB Slave Cylinder, which also came with a release bearing.
When mating the transmission to the engine, the SACHS release bearing kept falling off the slave before I could join them. When I switched to the genuine SAAB release bearing, I pressed it on and it stayed on. That says alot about aftermarket parts I say. It allowed me to focus on slowly and precisely joining the engine to the trans.
If anyone has questions about the installation or wants to hear about the handling characteristics of these parts, shoot me a message. I'd be happy to help.
