I just found a good used transmission from an exact year87 turbo 9000. $199.00 from ,"Shorty used parts in PA. Feels good when rotating the axles and shifting. Dumpt the old fuild out and found 90w in the case. I hope this isn't a sign of worn trans. or just what the last owner had installed. I'll rebuild the other 87 trans when I have more time. Seems to be the best way to get this job finished without stripping the other 88/9000s down and moving it, then to just replace the problem trans. with exact trans. for the gearing that I like so much in this 9000t. I can only hope that the used trans. with 112000 on the mileage will be good. First a good run and flush, then RedLine for the rest of it's use. Big thanks to Matt at "Shorty" auto for letting have 90 days warranty on the day I install it. Honesty is still alive and well. Matt's also been looking on Saabnett for a good used 900 to restore with his two sons. He will be getting back with me for advise and repairs. Just have to love the Saab family and friends.
