dying fuel pump? Posted by Daven [Email] (#290) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Daven) on Tue, 24 Jul 2012 17:47:35 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hey all.
I have a 1995 Aero 5spd SQR stage 5+ that has developed a boost fluctuation and now a hesitation/shuddering under throttle. I am wondering if there could be two isolated problems; the boost issue being related to either the boost pressure control valve sticking or the wastegate or the forge bov not holding pressure.
The shuddering feels like it could be fuel delivery related. I have experienced shuddering similar when the fuel tank was almost empty...so I'm wondering if it could.be the fuel pump failing or a clogged fuel filter. Recently on cold starts, the engine turns over about 7-8 times before starting... that seems like more than normal to me. Could that also be an indication the pump is going?
Thanks,
Daven
