Front fenders etc can be swapped, as can the drivetrain.. and the T5 harness.. after untold hours of work though.
Problematic to revert to the early rear style though as the rear quarter panels are welded on parts. Tough to remove and even tougher to refit.
Going back, as in a lot of things in life, is easier said than done.
