This weekend I dumped the coolant and refilled then warmed it up. Let it go through a couple of fan cycles then took her out for a drive. Went up the highway a bit, getting into the boost along the way, then back on city streets. No problems. Level in expansion tank rose a little but didn't even make the max mark (cold level was a little above min). I let it cool down for a couple of hours then rechecked and the level had dropped to above min. I don't see any leaks (tightened up the clamp on the upper rad hose at the t-stat initially) and she ran good. Much smoother than before, but I guess that would be the case after replacing a broken chain guide.
Power is the same as before and I was hoping for improvement there so I'm a little disappointed. Oh well...
