That's good news in that I really did not want to have to swap out the thermostat again. I'll clean up the near-new Saab thermostat and save it for future use.
I found a genuine new Bosch 13662 on the famed auction site for $58, it's on order and I'll use it to replace the cheap universal job that I installed. (Will save that one I guess in case the rear sensor goes out.)
So we'll see how this works with the real Bosch sensor...
