I have fixed the bottom heater grid several times and last time swore I would replace it if it broke again. Unfortunately this time the bottom grid is OK and the break is somewhere in the seat back.
Given the difficulty of getting the seat back apart it's only going to get fixed this time if the break is near the bottom where hopefully it can be reached without too much trouble, getting the seat cover off the back looks to be a major project.
I've given some thought to taking the seat back heater out of the circuit and running only the heater grid in the seat bottom. Since it's a series circuit I'd need to substitute about a 2-ohm power resistor for the seat back grid.
