What a success!
The accelerator pedal-travel becomes clearly, immediately and unmistakably less than before. I fully expect improved MPG.
The amount of new-found power and the immediacy of the throttle response is astonishing! It is like I am driving a different car. In essence, I am driving a different car.
I have not snipped wire #14, probably won't do it in the near future, I have plenty of power and torque without sipping it. Probably never, to save my transmission.
sam96CS is absolutely correct in saying that the car suddenly "woke up". my car woke up after an 18-year slumber! I have had the car for 5 years, missed 5 years of fun.
Some tidbits:
1. I was impatient to wait for your responses. The ECU sits there loose in that space. Will go in later to fix it.
2. The old vacuum line between the compressor and the waste gate actuator crumbled at my tug. So, the change-over was right in time.
3. The hose clamp at the compressor was the hardest part to put in place. After many failed attempts, I finally removed the compressor air-intake boot to gain some space.
4. Wondered why GM even bothered with the LPT, perhaps the accountants had the say-so. What is the price difference between CSE and CS? Cost difference for GM could not have been substantial.
