If the line were leaking you'd not get a solid well behaving clutch again. If the slave cylinder were leaking, ditto.
But if the master is losing its sealing ability, think bicycle pump that slips all the way to the floor, it can begin grabbing again and work fine for a while.
Expect it to fail again soon, or be intermittent. Prepare to rebuild it or replace it.
It's a pain to get to but the least trouble of the three. I don't know if you can buy a rebuild kit but if so that's a real cheap fix.
Do some searches on here to learn about what you're facing.
