Just take a close look at the balance shaft sprockets to make sure they are not worn and/or if you are planning on disable the balance shafts all together. It is more info about that on the NG900/9-3 board and the 9-5 board I think.
For some reasons back in the days I saw quite a bit of 95-97 NG900 non turbo engines with completely worn out balance shaft sprockets and worn out oil pump and timing covers (I think 12 in all) but did not see any 9000 or 900 T with the same issues so I'm not sure what was going on since they use the same parts.
