I have been running the Bosch Platinum +4 plugs in my 87 9000S 5 spd for over a year now, and I love them. I put them in mine after my Saabtech friend tried a set in his 87 9000T 5 spd, and gave me positive feedback.
There is no gap to set, and you should notice stronger mid-range performance when you accelerate. I just drove from my home in Upper Marlboro, MD to Lewes, DE and back this weekend. That was 228.6 miles on 6.17 gallons of gas. I use mid-grade 89 octane. That is 37.05 mpg with varying speeds. The only thing you need to do with the Bosch plugs is to check their tightness after about 10,000 to 15,000 miles. The plug number for your car is the 4418 Bosch Platinum +4 plugs. The DI-equipped Saabs have not had that much luck with them according to some of the feedback on this bulletin board, but some have used them without problems.
