1 The guy is smoking something, if his car is stock. ( Also nuts!)
2 The 1987 and the 1985 are essentially the same cars. "Auto Sport" a British news magazine repored the 1985 Turbo Saab as "An honest 130 mile per hour automobile" They further went on to note that "special tuning" could easily have the car up to 145+ miles per hour . Maybe our friend has " Special tuning"
Top Speeds are always ficticious unless measured with an appropriate timing device. Federal laws require that speedos ALWAYS measure an optimistic speed rather than a conservative speed and most speedos are only fairly accurate (less than 2 % error) only at low speeds At high speeds the errors are reported to be as high as 6-10 %. This querry is purely academic anyway!
