I replaced the rear's in my 93 a couple months ago. The grill does not come off - you need to peel the fabric off below the speaker and reach in with a wrench, and remove the 8 or so nuts underneath, than the speaker plate just dropps out. Very annoying I thought. I put in Pioneer 3-way 6x9's, The new speakers made a small differance in sound quality (one of my factory ones was blown). Just last week I picked up a factory reconditioned pioneer amp with about 35 watts/channel (the pioneers were rated 40watts/channel and the factory amp in my CSE was putting out about 10/channel as near as I could figure). Major differance in bass, they manage to squeeze a good amount out for 6x9 speakers, though they have to be turned way up and tend to hurt my rear passanger's ears if I have them at a level that I like in the driver's seat.
