I changed the cable that runs from the gas pedal to the throttle
body. Not because of any TCS considerations, but because
the '98 had a little different arrangement on the throttle body.
Regardless, once the TCS computer is disconnected,
there's no other computer to put you into limp mode - provided
you don't have a TCS module attached to the throttle body, ie.,
you' ve replaced the throttle body. If you're worried about the
DI/APC or Jetronic computer not getting signals from the TCS
computer, I don't think this matters. I'm not a expert on the
control signals between the TCS, DI/APC and Jetronic. However,
I would think that once the throttle body is changed and the
computer is disconnected, then there's no way the potentiometer
can do it's thing!
