Say you want to get a more recent used car. First, you'd want a car with maintenance records so you know what has been replaced (and what hasn't). Then you go over it with a fine toothed comb to find out if it's been abused. Last, go over it with an even finer comb to figure out what's wrong and what's right.
Of course, you already have one of those in your driveway. You know how it's been treated, what's been replaced, and what is wrong and what is right. Another car may have lower miles, but it may have been abused, under-maintained, or have a major problem that doesn't show up in the 15 minutes most of us spend looking over a car.
The reasons to sell a car:
(1) You lust for something else beyond all logic.
(2) The present car works, but due to numerous repairs you've lost confidence in it.
(3) It requires numerous, expensive repairs, AND has other fatal flaws (e.g. rust).
For item (1), there is no hope, just buy and enjoy. This item is the sole reason Alfa Romeo still exists. Item (2) is also psychological, but is real, nevertheless.
It sounds like you've got a well-maintained, well-running car. Lower miles doesn't necessary translate into a better car. You could buy a low mile creampuff and have the tranny go out tomorrow. Keep what you have.
