Man, did I screw it up GOOD this time Posted by bryan [Email] (#542) [Profile/Gallery] (more from bryan) on Thu, 21 Dec 2000 16:54:21 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
OK, well, HERE'S an interesting one...picking my friend up from the airport, on the way home was engaged in converation and didn't notice the depth of the cross street drainage ditch, which i hit full on at about 40 mph. Front end of the car smacked down HARD, hard enough that we watched my factory fog lights shatter like a Claymore mine...thought that was the only damage but noticed a big pool of engine oil underneath the front of the car this AM.
Crawl under and look, i managed to put a nice size gouge/crack in the sump.
AARRRRRRH...the car is an 88 9KS with an automatic....
Question is this: the sump looks like it's cast aluminum, would it be weldable in the car?
I'd prefer to have it welded vs. using JB Weld or something like that...
Any advice (besides driving tips) welcomed :)
