Sure, it's dated being a 15-year-old design, but it very closely fits my idea of near-perfect functionality. Where else can you get the utility, performance, handling, and fuel economy elsewhere--at the price of a good used 9K? At 20-something-K, this must be considered a steal by any logical measure.
Yeah, I'm not happy with the marginally smaller hatch area or the seats that don't fold down and latch as before. Your's should have the latches, but in '95 they were absent. So, I won't be hauling any full-sized refrigerators from Sam's like I did with my '91. The trunk area on the newer models is not as wide, but deeper--but for me wider is more important. After buying my '95 Aero, I was shocked to find that my photo-lighting case BARELY fit in the trunk, as with my '86 and '91 it slipped right in forthrightly. Now I must do a bit of shuffling and squirming, but it goes in okay.
Let us know how you like it. I'm wager you'll be quickly smitten soon after you take delivery, just as Michael Smith and I were. I'll wager you'll love the long-legged power the Aero and its Mitsu blower provides.
