I have a 1993 9000CSE, so far I have not had any problems, that was because before I left the lot I asked service to check the head gasket. When they go over 100K 9000's tend to have head gasket problems. I had them replace it and it has been great. I bought the car with 100,656 miles on it and paid $8K through a dealer because it was in such good condition. Make sure that you also check the motor mounts, on 93 9000's they can be a problem. I know that I have a good 100 to 120K miles to put on this car and you definitely get what you pay for when you buy a Saab. I originally had a 1986 900 and I bought a toyota after that died and I had it for all of six months before I missed the Saab feel. You'll understand the Saab feel after you take a few corners with it. Also keep in mind that they are great on gas, never give them premium, theyre cheap broads when they come to gas, keep it regular and be nice to your transmission.
