Your abbott re-circulates the pressure to the 'low' side of the
intake/turbo system. As Gerhard notes, air mass metered
systems incorporate recirculating the air from a closed throttle
position. Both BPV's and BOV's have one essential function -
protect the turbo at closed throttle/high boost conditions. Ryan's
question should really be: what's better for my set-up - a blow off valve or a by-pass valve?
